Comprehensive Dental Implant Consultation in Surrey

To assess whether dental implants are the ideal solution for your dental needs, we encourage you to schedule a consultation at our Surrey dental practice. Our team of experienced dental specialists will evaluate your teeth and oral health to determine if dental implant placement is the appropriate treatment for you. During the consultation, we will also discuss the healing process, primary stability, and other important aspects of dental implant surgery. We prioritize the quality of life of our patients and are committed to providing proper care throughout the entire process. Additionally, we use only the highest quality implant systems and non-toxic materials to ensure optimal results and minimize potential risks.

Who Can Benefit from Dental Implant Services?

Dental implants are a viable solution for individuals who have lost a tooth due to various factors such as oral diseases, accidents, tooth decay, or teeth grinding. However, it is crucial to note that oral hygiene and good dental hygiene are critical in determining the success rates of the surgical procedure. Patients must have healthy gums and a sufficiently strong jawbone to support the implant, as factors like blood flow, initial stability, and the type of implant can impact the long-term success of the implant. Individuals with health conditions or who are heavy smokers may have long-term failures, and should consider the risks before undergoing the procedure. Additionally, patients should be aware of potential complications with implants, such as implant diseases, and should be committed to maintaining good implant home care to ensure the longevity of the implant. The timing of the procedure can vary and may be immediate, immediate-delayed, or delayed, depending on the individual patient’s needs and circumstances. Ultimately, a thorough evaluation by a dental specialist or oral surgeon can help determine if dental implant placement is the right choice for you, and if tooth replacement options such as dental implants are necessary for maintaining healthy teeth

State-of-the-Art Technology for Precise Dental Implant Planning

At Angel Care Dental in Surrey, patient care is our top priority, and we use state-of-the-art technology to ensure the best outcomes. Our i3d Smart CT scanner by Vatech Imaging provides fast and accurate scans with minimal radiation exposure compared to traditional X-rays. With this advanced technology, we can plan and execute dental implant procedures with precision and confidence, including immediate, immediate-delayed, or delayed implants. We also offer a range of implant options, such as metal implants, mini-implants, and compound implants, to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Our computer-aided dental implant planning allows us to visualize the actual implant placement after tooth extraction, soft tissue management, and adjacent tissue to ensure optimal outcomes. We can also use this technology to plan for dental crowns and orthodontic mini implants. At Angel Care Dental, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care and achieving high rates of implant success.

CT scanner

In a CT scan, also called a CAT scan or Computerized Axial Tomography scan, images of your body are merged together to create a cross-sectional image in 3D.

By using this technology, doctors can examine structures like bone, soft tissues, and blood vessels from various angles, enabling a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. Dentists require CT scans of patients’ mouths from time to time. CT scanning of the mouth is a perfectly safe procedure that requires no pain at all. Within seconds, the imaging system captures several images of the patient’s face as the patient sits in a designated seat.

At Angel Care Dental, we use the i3d Smart ct scan made by Vatech imaging, which provides one of the fastest scans on the market. In comparison to a full-mouth dental x-ray, this scan emits only a very low dose of radiation. We are able to maintain high standards of patient care thanks to this advanced technology.

Are You a Good Candidate for Dental Implants?

If you have been told that you are not a candidate for dental implants, or if you require repair of your implant placement, Dr. Janic, a Surrey-based dentist, is available to provide a second opinion and expert assistance.

Dental implant use is a popular solution for patients suffering from damaged or missing teeth. Whether you need immediate, immediate-delayed or delayed implants, mini-implants, or regular implants, they can restore your everyday functions such as chewing, eating, and speaking with confidence. Additionally, they help prevent adjacent teeth from drifting into improper positions. One of the main advantages of dental implants is that they closely mimic the look and feel of natural human teeth, down to the tiniest piece of tissue.

Who Can Benefit from Dental Implant Services?

Dental implant procedures are a viable option for individuals who have experienced tooth loss due to a range of factors such as oral diseases, teeth grinding, tooth decay, accidents, or injury. However, to be a candidate for dental implants, it’s crucial to have healthy gums and a sturdy jawbone that can support the implant. Moreover, dental implants require a chamber of titanium to be placed into the jawbone through osseointegration surgery. The surgery promotes the fusion of the implant with the surrounding bone tissue, providing evidence of osseointegration. For patients who have insufficient bone density, mini-implants may be a suitable alternative to traditional implants.

Dental Implant Procedure: Regaining Your Smile

At Angel Care Dental, our goal is to assist you in preserving your natural teeth and achieving a beautiful smile. Nevertheless, unforeseeable circumstances can cause you to lose or damage your teeth. If this happens, dental implants provide a secure and durable solution, including mini-implants, which can be a suitable option in certain cases.

A dental implant is a tiny metal screw (essentially an artificial tooth root) made of titanium. This dental surgical fixture is inserted into your jawbone, and a replacement tooth is attached to it. The implant acts as a sort of anchor to hold the new tooth in place.

The dental implant process is a quick and effective solution for patients who are looking to replace their missing or damaged teeth and restore their smiles and self-confidence.

Once you and your dentist have discussed getting dental implants, here is what you can expect:

  • Your dentist will do a thorough examination of your mouth and take x-rays of your head, jaw and teeth to be sure that you are a candidate for the procedure.
  • Once you are qualified to receive dental implants, your dentist will place the dental implant into your jawbone beneath your gum tissue. As the gum tissue heals (which can sometimes take a few months), the implant will bond with the bone and attach to the gum.
  • Once the gum tissue has healed, your dentist will attach an abutment to the implant. (Abutment is the name given to the post that connects the  tooth to the implant.)
  • The artificial tooth is then attached to the abutment.
  • If you are replacing several or all of your teeth, a fixed bridge will be anchored to your dental implants.

Dental implants typically take two visits to install: one to fit the screw, and one to install the false tooth. Please note that all bone structures and all patients are different. Your procedure may take longer or involve more steps (such as bone augmentation) than the steps above.
